Privacy policy
Effective August 4, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how The Crossing at Big Creek collects, uses, protects, and discloses information through thecrossingbigcreek.com, The Crossing mobile app, Players Club features, event communications, and connected reservation experiences.
Our privacy commitments
We do not sell personal information.
We do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising or targeted advertising.
We do not currently use third-party advertising trackers or website analytics tools.
We disclose information to service providers only when they need it to operate services for us, as described below.
Information we collect
Account information: email address, Firebase user identifier, email-verification status, and authentication records. Your password is handled by Firebase Authentication; The Crossing does not receive or store the password itself.
Players Club information: player number, last name, club level, free-play information, and the link between your app account and Players Club record. Import and audit records may contain related player and contact information needed to maintain the club account.
Device and notification information: Expo push token, platform, app version, runtime version, notification permission status, and delivery tickets or receipts. Apple Push Notification service and Firebase Cloud Messaging may also process device tokens.
Contact-form information: name, email address or phone number, inquiry topic, message, staff follow-up notes, and a one-way network-address fingerprint used to limit abuse.
Website and service records: ordinary server, network, IP address, device, request, security, and audit logs generated when our systems are used. We do not currently use advertising cookies or third-party analytics on the website.
Reservation information: the Mews booking widget may process technical request or device data when it loads. When you choose to book the Lodge, cabins, or RV park, Mews also collects the reservation, guest, contact, and payment information needed to complete the booking under its own privacy policy.
How we use information
We use information to create and secure accounts; verify email addresses; link an app account to the correct Players Club record; show club level, free play, and events; respond to contact-form inquiries; operate reservations; send requested or permitted push notifications; provide support; prevent form abuse; investigate errors, fraud, misuse, or security incidents; maintain audit records; and comply with legal obligations.
When information is disclosed
We disclose information only as needed to operate our services, protect people and systems, or comply with law. Service providers may process information for us, including Google Firebase for customer authentication, Expo and Apple or Google notification services for push delivery, Mews for hospitality reservations, OpenStreetMap Foundation for interactive map tiles, and our self-hosted Supabase environment for business data and application services. We do not authorize these providers to use information on our behalf for unrelated advertising.
We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect rights and safety, or as part of a merger, financing, reorganization, or sale of the business, subject to appropriate protections and notice where required.
Service-provider notices
Your choices and account deletion
You may decline push-notification permission or turn notifications off in your device settings. You may sign out of the mobile app at any time.
To request access to, correction of, or deletion of your app account and associated personal information, call (334) 803-8138. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request. Deleting the app account does not automatically cancel reservations, erase records we must retain, or close a separate Players Club account. Tell us if your request should also address those records.
Retention
We retain information only as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described here, including providing services, maintaining accurate club and transaction records, resolving disputes, enforcing agreements, meeting legal or accounting obligations, and protecting security. Retention periods vary by record type. When information is no longer needed, we delete it or de-identify it where reasonably possible.
Security
We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards intended to protect information, including access controls, authenticated service boundaries, encrypted network connections where supported, and audit records. No system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children's privacy
Our website, app, Players Club, and reservation services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, call us so we can investigate and delete it where required.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our services or legal obligations change. We will post the revised policy here and update the effective date. If a change is material, we will provide additional notice where appropriate.
Contact us
For privacy questions or requests, including app-account deletion, call The Crossing at Big Creek at (334) 803-8138.
